Questions
Are you the City of New York?
No. nyfinepay is an independent company. We help you find your tickets and send your payment to the city, and we charge a service fee for that. You can always pay the city directly, which may cost less.
Why is there a service fee?
It covers looking up your tickets, card processing and submitting your payment. It is shown as its own line before you pay.
When will my ticket show as paid?
We submit your payment right after checkout and email your receipt immediately. It can take a few business days to appear on the city's site, so keep your receipt.
My ticket isn't listed.
Very recent tickets can take a few days to show up. Double-check the plate and state, or try a summons number from the ticket.
Can I dispute a ticket here?
No. We only handle payments. To contest a ticket, use the city's hearing process before you pay.
Is my card information safe?
Checkout is encrypted, and card details go straight to our payment processor instead of being stored by us.
